The Young Architects Program 2015

국립현대미술관, 현대카드, 뉴욕현대미술관이 공동 주최한 《현대카드 컬처프로젝트 18_ 젊은 건축가 프로그램 2015》의 최종 당선작인 건축가그룹 SoA(이치훈, 강예린)의 설치 작품 ‘지붕감각’의 제작 및 설치 과정을 담은 기록 영상이다. 국립현대미술관 서울관 마당 공간을 배경으로 갈대발을 활용한 대형 지붕 구조물이 구현되어가는 설치 공사 과정과 완성된 공간의 전경을 보여준다. 미술관 야외 마당에 관람객을 위한 쉼터와 그늘을 제공하는 건축 구조물의 창작 과정과 공간적 변화를 시각적으로 전달하는 전시 스케치 및 아카이브 형식으로 구성되어 있다.

This archival video captures the fabrication and installation process of “Roof Sentiment,” a winning installation artwork by the architecture group SoA (Lee Chi-hoon, Kang Ye-rin) for Hyundai Card Culture Project 18_ Young Architects Program 2015, co-hosted by the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea (MMCA), Hyundai Card, and the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA). Set in the courtyard of MMCA Seoul, the video illustrates the construction sequence of a large-scale roof structure created using reed blinds alongside the completed space. It is structured in an exhibition sketch and archival format that visually documents the creative process and spatial transformation of an architectural structure designed to provide shelter and shade for museum visitors.
