국립무용단의 2017-2018 레퍼토리 시즌 개막작인 무용극 《춘상(春想)》의 홍보 영상이다. 고전 소설 『춘향전』을 현대적으로 재해석하여 스무 살 청춘 남녀의 사랑 이야기를 1막 8장의 구성으로 다룬다. 전통 춤사위를 기반으로 현대적인 동작을 결합하고 대중음악을 편곡한 무용 음악을 사용한다. 회전 무대 위 모노톤의 복층 무대를 구축하여 시공간의 변화를 시각화한다. 청춘의 감정을 춤으로 표현하는 공연 홍보 형식으로 구성되어 있다.
This video introduces the performance “Chung, Yeon (Chunsang)” by the National Dance Company of Korea, which served as the opening piece for the 2017-2018 repertoire season. It modernizes the classic novel “Chunhyangjeon” to depict the love story of youth in a one-act, eight-scene structure. The choreography combines traditional Korean dance movements with contemporary steps, set to arrangements of popular music. It utilizes a rotating, two-story monotone stage to visualize changes in time and space. The video is structured in a performance promotional format that conveys the emotions of youth through dance.
